The best $5 iPod owners will ever spend: Smartwrap controls those headphone
cables
Tuesday, March 23, 2004 - 09:53 AM EST
Smartwrap, winner of I.D. Magazine's Design Distinction Award, is a cord manager for iPod
headphone cables. It is designed and developed by Sumajin, an industrial design firm in
Singapore. Smartwrap is easy to use and it serves the purpose. All that is required is to
snap the cord into place at one of two places, then wrap and snap into place again.
Smartwrap is thin enough to fit into our Marware 3G iPod CEO Classic case's pocket. It is
made of pliable plastic polymer and, like the Mac, it is simple, easy-to-use, and it just
works. No more "two-finger" cord wrapping, Halleluiah! We have been using
Smartwrap for about a week with our iPods and we have no idea how we got along without it.
In fact, we're planning to litter them all over as gifts to our iPod-using family and
friends.
Each Smartwrap cost US$5. A per-order shipping cost of US$5 will be charged for orders up
to 20 units. Until Smartwrap gets their online ordering system up and running, all
payments can be made via PayPal. Items ordered will be sent by registered mail once
payment is made. Delivery takes approximately 14 days. Smartwrap comes in white,
translucent, black, orange, blue, green, purple and red. So, for $10 bucks total, you will
have your Smartwrap in two weeks.
It is worth the wait. MacDailyNews highly recommends Sumajin's Smartwrap Headphone Cord
Manager for all iPod and iPod mini users.
See the Smartwrap and order it here - you'll be glad you did.
